Terms of Use
Parley — iOS app. Effective 8 August 2026.
1. The licence agreement
Parley is licensed, not sold, under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which is the licence that applies to your use of the app:
→ Apple Standard EULA (Licensed Application End User License Agreement)
That document governs the licence, scope of use, and Apple's role. The sections below add the Parley-specific terms and the subscription disclosures required for purchases made inside the app. Where the Apple Standard EULA and this page conflict on a licence matter, the Apple Standard EULA controls.
2. What Parley is — and what it is not
Parley uses AI to help you prepare for a difficult conversation. It produces suggested wording: an opening line, likely pushback and possible responses, and a short Pocket Card.
Parley is a preparation tool, not advice. It is not therapy, counselling, psychological treatment, legal advice, HR representation, medical advice, or financial advice, and it does not create a professional relationship of any kind. AI-generated suggestions can be wrong, incomplete, or a poor fit for your situation. You are responsible for what you actually say and do. Read what Parley gives you, and use your own judgement.
Safety. If you describe a situation involving abuse, coercion, or danger, Parley stops producing conversation strategy and points you toward appropriate help. Parley is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Parley to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, coerce, defraud, or manipulate another person;
- prepare communications intended to deceive someone into acting against their own interest — Parley deliberately redirects requests of this shape toward honest framing;
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights;
- attempt to bypass the app's safety redirects, rate limits, or device attestation, or to reach the backend by any means other than the app itself;
- reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its service, except where the Apple Standard EULA or applicable law permits.
Access may be limited or withdrawn where use of the service is abusive or would put the service at risk.
4. Your content
You keep all rights in what you write. Your situations, Briefs, People, and debriefs are stored on your device, not on a Parley server. To generate a result, the relevant text (and voice audio, if you use voice intake) is sent to the AI provider through the developer's Cloudflare Worker. What is sent, who receives it, and how long they may keep it is set out in the Privacy Policy — including that xAI may retain inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for abuse auditing and does not use them to train models.
You grant only the permission needed to operate the service: to transmit and process your content in order to produce the result you asked for. AI-generated output is yours to use.
5. Subscription — Parley Pro
Parley requires an active Parley Pro subscription to generate Briefs. The purchase screen appears in the app, and the app's features are unavailable until a subscription is active or a previous purchase is restored.
Plans. Parley Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription in three billing periods:
| Plan | Billing period |
|---|---|
| Parley Pro — Weekly | 1 week |
| Parley Pro — Monthly | 1 month |
| Parley Pro — Annual | 1 year |
Price. The exact price in your local currency is shown on the purchase screen and on the App Store product page before you confirm. Prices may differ by country and may change; Apple notifies you of a price increase and asks for your consent where required.
Free trials and introductory offers. No free trial or introductory offer is available at launch. If an offer is added later, its duration, eligibility, and the price charged afterward will be shown on the purchase screen before you subscribe.
Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and your Apple ID is charged the then-current price, until you cancel. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends.
How to cancel. Cancel at any time in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or through Manage subscription inside Parley. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Deleting your data or deleting the app does not cancel the subscription — you must cancel it through Apple.
Payment and refunds. All payments are handled by Apple; the developer never sees your payment details. Refunds are governed by Apple's policy and are requested from Apple, at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Except where the law gives you a right to a refund, the developer cannot issue one directly.
Restore. If you reinstall the app or use a new device with the same Apple ID, use Restore purchases — on the purchase screen or in Settings — to regain access.
Sharing. Parley Pro is tied to the purchasing Apple ID. Family Sharing is not enabled for it.
6. Availability
Parley depends on third-party AI services and network access, and it enforces daily and per-minute request limits to keep the service affordable and available. Features may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. The app is provided on an "as is" basis, without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for the outcome of any conversation you have. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated; the effective date above changes when they are. Continuing to use Parley after an update means you accept the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without affecting mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
